Homescreen kodi icon missing

Hello everyone .i have 2 new mxqpro + 6.0.1 android boxes i can diwnload and install kodi but its not on my homescreen ir even my apps on homescreen .i cant even find it under settings then apps then under downloaded apps it isnt even tgere tge only way i can find it is by going to settings then more settings then memory and kodi shiws and i can open frim tgere..dies anyone know whats goin on and i have downloaded from google playstore and kodi.tv website same issualso i have instamled kodi correctly on 5.1 boxes .help

Not sure what might be happening here? How are you downloading Kodi?

I would download the .apk from the Kodi site via a PC and then put the.apk onto a USB stick or SD card and then install from this using Filebrowser.
